The eLibrary provides free access for NHS Scotland staff to over 4000 fulltext electronic journals, over 200 electronic textbooks and over 20 major databases. It offers NHS Scotland staff an unparalleled collection of information and learning resources to support patient care, study and research.
The central aim of the eLibrary is to provide equitable access to the knowledge base of health care. It is available freely via the Internet to all NHS Scotland staff regardless of discipline, grade, sector or geographic location.
One ATHENS username and password will allow you to access all the resources - you can register online for your own ATHENS username and password from the eLibrary homepage. Go to www.elib.scot.nhs.uk and follow the link to "Register for an ATHENS password".
