Support GHI - £20 book and music vouchers up for grabs!
To celebrate the launch of the Glasgow Health Information Website, throughout February we are inviting Glasgow healthcare staff to support the new site by taking part in our exciting new competition.
All you have to do is nominate a website* for inclusion in the GHI database. Our panel of judges will assess all entries and vouchers to the value of £20 each will be awarded to the best entries.
Websites will be judged for quality, relevance and reliability by a panel of judges made up of librarians and information professionals with expertise in the selection and evaluation of website resources relevant to healthcare staff.
To enter the competition, simply choose Nominate on the horizontal menu bar to access a nomination form. You will be asked to enter your nominated site's name, its URL, a short sentence summing up why the site is so good, your name, job title, place of work, and email address. Lucky winners will be contacted in March. Go on - nominate a site today!
* Terms and conditions
- The competition is open to staff from all sectors working within health or social care in the Greater Glasgow area
- Any website may be nominated for inclusion as long as it is relevant to the information and learning needs, clinical or non-clinical, of healthcare staff in Glasgow. This may include websites dealing with broad themes relevant to all healthcare staff, or more specialised topic areas relevant to specific staff sectors.
- Nominations do not necessarily have to relate to health or medicine, but may relate to the full spectrum of activities undertaken by staff working in the healthcare sector: these might include, for example, websites relating to information technology, social work, estates and facilities, support services etc.
- Websites already in the GHI database will not be considered, therefore it is important to search or browse the GHI site first to make sure your website is not there.
This resource could not have been produced without the work of the Glasgow Health Information Group
